Final

Canyon Overlook, Zion National Park
In Lightroom, I cropped the photo to take out some distractions. I used a gradient filter on the sky to darken and increase the contrast and saturation of the clouds. I used a gradient filter on the foreground to lighten the landscape and increase contrast/saturation.

Bighorn Sheep, Zion National Park
In Lightroom, I cropped the top of the picture to remove distractions that were on the rock to focus on the sheep more. I increased contrast, saturation, and clarity.

Yellowstone Falls
In Lightroom I cropped the photo considerably to focus on the waterfall. I also straightened the photo. I increased the highlights and clarity to make the waterfall brighter and more defined and increased the saturation. I used the settings below to get a longer exposure.

Yellowstone River
In Lightroom, I cropped the bottom of the photo to focus more on the river and not the trees. I increased the contrast, decreased the highlights, increased clarity and saturation. I used a gradient tool on the sky to darken it and increased the blues. I used the clone tool to remove some spots in the sky from dirt on a helicopter window.

Zion National Park Sunset
In Lightroom, I changed the white balance because the whole photo looked yellow. I used the brush to select the hill to make it brighter because it was very under exposed. I increased the contrast, clarity, and saturation. I used the brush tool to also select the sky to darken it and increase the saturation.

September Morn

In Lightroom, I cropped the photo because there was a lot of clutter in the foreground and I wanted to focus more on the mountains. I increased clarity, contrast, saturation, darkened highlights and used a gradient filter on the sky to darken it and increased the saturation in the sky.

In Lightroom, I cropped the photo so that the ridge was the focal point. I used a gradient filter on the sky to decrease the exposure because the sky was over exposed, I also increased the clarity and contrast to make the clouds more defined. I used a gradient filter on the bottom to increase the exposure of the trees. I used a brush tool to make the ridge more defined and increased the saturation.

In Lightroom, I cropped the bottom of the photo and darkened the landscape to focus on the sunset and remove the distractions. I used the spot removal tool to remove electric poles. I increased the contrast and saturation to make the colors of the sunset stand out more.

Yellowstone National Park
